1998 hat die Bertelsmann Stiftung in Kooperation mit der Bertelsmann Forschungsgruppe Politik am Centrum für angewandte Politikforschung (CAP) das internationale Netzwerk „Erziehung zu Demokratie, Menschenrechten und Toleranz" ins Leben gerufen. Der Band stellt die Arbeit der daran beteiligten Organisationen aus zehn Ländern vor.
