Participatory Governance. Political and Societal Implications
Dokumentation der Tagung „Democratic and Participatory Governance: From Citizens to ‚Holders'?", die im Rahmen des EU-Projektes „Achieving Sustainable and Innovative Policies through Participatory Governance in a Multi-Level Context" im September 2000 in Florenz stattfand. Am Beispiel der Handlungsfelder Wasserversorgung und Umweltmanagement werden Formen einer partizipativen Steuerung identifiziert und deren Erfolgsbedingungen analysiert. Den Beiträgen liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass - im Unterschied zu Dahls „demokratischem Dilemma", wonach sich Effektivität und Partizipation ausschließen - Effektivität und Effizienz politischen Handelns als Nebenprodukte einer partizipativen „Governance" entspringen könn(t)en.
